Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Your trust matters. This policy explains what information AWorthIt handles when you browse, create an account, place an order, or contact us, and the choices available to you.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to personal information handled through the AWorthIt storefront and our order-support communications. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean AWorthIt. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to amrit@aworthit.com.
Payment services and external websites have their own privacy notices. This policy does not replace those notices or limit rights you have under applicable law.
2. Information we handle
- Account details: your name, phone number, optional email address, account identifier, and saved delivery addresses. Account passwords are processed during registration and login; the registration system stores a password hash rather than the original password.
- Order details: recipient name, contact details, shipping address and PIN code, selected products and sizes, quantities, prices, coupons, payment method, payment status, and order or transaction references.
- Shopping preferences: cart contents, wishlist selections, and preferences saved in your browser.
- Support information: the messages, order references, and photos you choose to send when asking about a product, delivery, return, or account issue.
- Technical information: requests to our website and its providers may expose an IP address, browser or device information, request time, and error information necessary to deliver and maintain the service.
Please provide only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, one-time passwords, UPI PINs, or complete card details to our support team.
3. Why we use information
We use relevant information to operate accounts, process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, reconcile payments, assist with returns, respond to enquiries, and maintain transaction records. We may also use necessary information to investigate misuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Where consent is required for a particular use, including optional promotional communications, we will seek it separately. You can ask to stop marketing messages without giving up essential communications about an order. The legal basis for a particular use depends on the applicable law and the purpose of that use.
4. Payments
Online checkout may redirect you to PayU or the payment provider displayed at checkout. We send the order and contact information needed to initiate the transaction and receive payment references and status information to reconcile it.
Card credentials, bank authentication, and UPI authorisation entered on a provider's payment page are handled by that provider under its own terms and privacy notice. Please review those notices before paying. Never share an OTP or payment PIN with anyone claiming to be AWorthIt support.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The storefront uses local storage in your browser to remember information such as your cart, wishlist, selected coupon, theme, and signed-in account details. Order-related information may also be cached locally. Local storage can remain after you close the browser until it is cleared.
You can remove stored site data through your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out or remove locally saved preferences; it does not by itself delete server-side accounts or order records. Cookies used by external payment or other providers are governed by their notices and controls.
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and use of the storefront. The Google tag may use cookies and collect information such as page addresses and titles, referral sources, browser and device details, and interactions supported by the Analytics settings. This information is sent to Google for measurement and reporting. Read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Our shopping events measure product views, wishlist and cart actions, checkout steps, checkout problems, and completed orders. These events include catalog identifiers, item quantities, sizes, prices, order values, payment-method categories, and purchase transaction references. Custom event payloads do not include your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, payment credentials, or search text. Purchase references are saved in browser storage to reduce duplicate reporting. After a verified online payment, a short-lived, signed first-party cookie lets the store confirm the purchase event without exposing your payment credentials.
You can manage cookies in your browser and, on supported browsers, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Clearing existing cookies alone does not prevent future Analytics requests or cookies.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves requests to Google's servers. Following social-media links takes you to the relevant platform, where its own privacy practices apply. This notice is not a consent mechanism for optional tracking; any such tracking requiring consent must have an appropriate choice before it is enabled.
7. Retention and security
Retention depends on the type of record and why it is needed. An order or payment record may need to be kept for tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or other legal purposes even after an account-deletion request. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised, subject to those obligations.
No website, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a unique password, protect access to your device and email account, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We will address security incidents and provide notices where applicable law requires them.
8. Your choices and requests
You can update available account details and saved addresses from your account. To request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or assistance with a privacy concern, email amrit@aworthit.com with the subject "Privacy request".
Include enough information to identify your account or order, but do not include passwords or payment credentials. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. Requests are handled subject to applicable law, statutory response periods, and lawful retention exceptions; we will explain relevant limitations.
Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already lawfully completed and may affect services that depend on that information. You may raise an unresolved concern with a competent authority where that right is available under applicable law.
9. Children and shared devices
Purchases and account registration are intended for adults able to enter a binding contract. A parent or guardian should place an order for a minor. If you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can review it.
On a shared device, sign out and clear site data when finished. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see locally saved account, cart, or order information.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the store or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, material changes will be accompanied by additional notice or a new consent request.
